Tyne Bridges

The Tyne Bridge, opened in 1928, is a through arch bridge
designed by the engineering firm Mott, Hay and Anderson,
who later designed the Forth Road Bridge, and was built
by Dorman Long and Co. of Middlesbrough.

The Swing Bridge was opened in 1876 and at the time of
construction was the largest swing bridge ever built.
