Glen Scaddle, Ardgour

The grand outline of the mountains of Ardgour across Loch Linnhe will be familiar to all those who have travelled north along the road to Fort William.  There are no 'Munros' (peaks above 3000 ft ) and so it will always remain a relatively quiet area, to be savoured by the connoisseur.  We spent a very hot week backpacking through the area; hot but very hazy - great for swimming in the warm pools but hopeless for landscape photography.  One evening, though, threatening thunderstorms fizzled out but gave a brief interlude of interesting light.
