7 June 17 Mallaig to Skye. Some cloud at first but fine later.
Mallaig harbour and marina.
The 'Lord of the Isles' arrives.
Off we go to the Isle of Skye.
Our perch for the night, near Tarskavaig on the Sleat peninsula. A short
walk above our camping spot was a little summit which gave superb views.
Loch Gauscavaig with the islands of Eigg and Rum in the distance.
The whole sweep of the Black and Red Cuillins.
Rum from Loch Gauscavaig.
The Cuillin Ridge at sunset.
The pointed peak to the right is Sgurr nan Gillean with its Pinnacle Ridge.
To the left of Sgurr nan Gillean is Am Bhasteir with
the distinctive Bhasteir Tooth.
The notched peak to the left is (I think) Sgurr Alasdair,
the highest peak of the Cuillins.
