24 March 17       Catching up on the latest developments.  Sunny.

Cotton Field Wharf, Ancoats - external cladding now being installed.

Cormorant, Cotton Field Park.

Some serious steelwork going up on the Murrays' Mills development.

More steelwork - One Cutting Room Square.

Some serious cranage in the skies of Ancoats.

The Second City Crossing tram route opened last month so I thought it
was about time I had a look - the Town Hall and Albert Square.

Cross Street and the Royal Exchange theatre.

Cross Street.

The Axis Tower site, now with a serious looking platform built over the canal.
I believe this is temporary and will be removed once the building is finished.

Ordsall Chord - not much change here except one carriageway
of the road has been diverted under the bridge.

The 'weathering steel' panels now grace the entire viaduct.

The end of the new widened section.

The river Irwell.

The Ordsall Chord bridge over the Irwell.

Castlefield.

Castlefield Basin and the Beetham Tower.

Salford Quays.

Erie Basin and the new 'Regent' office building under construction.
The 'Regent' will be the new headquarters of BUPA.

The Regent.

No.9 dock and another new building under construction.

The Alchemist restaurant and bar (Reid Architects).

X1 MediaCity apartments - the first of four tower blocks.

Rumour has it that the grey cladding on the lower floors was
fitted 'by mistake' and will have to be replaced with the same
cladding as the upper floors, which was specified in the
original planning application.

NV Apartments and access platform.

Back into Manchester and the No.1 Spinningfields building.

Interesting optical illusion.

St. Peter's Square - No.2 and No.1 buildings.

No.2 St. Peter's Square (SimpsonHaugh and Partners), nearing completion.

Etihad Campus Metrolink tram stop.

Etihad Campus, Manchester City Training Acadamy.
The brickwork is subtlety angled by varying degrees forming a wave
pattern both horizontally and vertically.  When the sun strikes it
at a low angle it creates these intriguing lighting effects.

City of Manchester (Etihad) stadium and the city centre skyline.
