30 June 15        A look at the almost finished refurbishment of
Victoria Station and the recently opened Library Walk link.   Sunny.

Victoria Station.

Balloon Street is back to two-way working and the setts have been put back.

The river Irwell - Salford on the right.

The Opera House.

The controversial Library Walk link.  It links the Town Hall
Extension with Central Library and serves as an entrance to both.

The weird reflective roof.

The also-controversial gates at the other end of Library Walk.
The design reflects the roof of the link building.

Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop - most of the sedum panels are now in place.

Exhibition Bridge.

The new staircase over the Rochdale Canal is now in place.

I stopped off at the Etihad Campus on the way back home.

I've wanted to photograph this brickwork for a while but it's north
facing and this is the first time I've seen it with the sun on it.
