A traffic accident on the Eccles road meant the trams were temporarily terminating at MediaCityUK.

Back in Manchester city centre and we stopped to have a look at the new public square which
opened a couple of days ago on the Salford side of the river Irwell, opposite the Cathedral.

The railway viaducts will be cleaned and it is hoped that there will be bars and cafes etc. in the arches.

The fountains and sculptures are lit at night with changing colours.

I don't think the sculptures are all that inspiring.

They might look better lit up at night though.
