Digital Pictures IndexHayfield, Peak District

20 Jan 2001  The forecasters said 'a significant snow event' was due for the northern hills today.  It started promising with heavy snow and strong winds but it only lasted about an hour, then the wind dropped and the snow fizzled out - quite insignificant really.  The clouds clung to the hill tops all day though, so I took just a couple of photos worth showing.  The grey overcast skies and thin snow cover gave almost monochromatic images, so I thought I would sepia tone them for a change.
