|Forest of Bowland|
5 Jan 2001 Our sojourn in the Lakes was over and I left for home under dull and cloudy skies. Things were brighter further south though and I took the 'scenic route' back to Manchester, through the Forest of Bowland, where the skies were clear and the valleys filled with mist.
The lonely moorlands of the Forest of Bowland over a mist filled Hodder valley.
Thick fog fills the Ribble valley near Clitheroe, seen from the Nick of Pendle.
