27 Dec 2000 Christmas greetings from a cold and snowy Caithness. Not quite a white Christmas - it started snowing just an hour after midnight. A couple of snow showers during the night gave a covering for Boxing Day morning which tempted me out with my cameras. A heavy snowstorm in the late afternoon tempted me back in again.
Halkirk village. My brother's house is on the extreme right.
Looking the other way from in front of the house.
Approaching John 0'Groat's on the northern coast road.
The road to Noss Head lighthouse, near Wick.
The castles of Sinclair & Gurnigoe, near Wick.
The main A9 road between Thurso and Wick, after the snowstorm.
